The Southern Peninsula Fresh Food Program works is a collaboration between SPCS and SecondBite to provide fresh food on the Southern Mornington Peninsula.
The program delivers two services: Fresh Food delivery to agencies & Fresh Food delivery to the community. The program has been closed during the pandemic and instead SPCS has been managing all fresh food on a one by one basis through its main centre. Prior to the pandemic the program ran out of the Rosebud Memorial Hall weekly on Monday (closed public holidays). From the first week of February we are trialling it being run from our main centre. Agencies wishing to arrange to collect food from the program must register with Second Bite online at www.secondbite.org. Community Members having difficulty accessing fresh fruit and vegetables can attend the program at 878 Point Nepean Road Rosebud at 11.00 am. The food will be prepacked into bags for Covid safety purposes. The program runs in a respectful and courteous manner with reference to all those attending.
