Low Income Support Service

The Low Income Support Service has been operating at SPCSIC since July 2002.  The Service provides an effective means of assisting clients to examine their situation and make informed decisions for themselves and their families. The service is free and confidential as well as client self determined, allowing clients to talk about the things that are of most importance to them.  The Low Income Support Service Worker provides Case Management. Working within a Case Management model to address issues clients wish to resolve to improve their circumstance, for example health or housing; identify those things they are struggling with in life and connect with other service providers who can help overcome these matters.   The Low Income Support Worker can provide assistance with matters such as income and entitlements assessment, budgeting, advocacy and negotiation.
