Volunteering

Southern Peninsula Community Support (SPCS) relies on a dedicated team of volunteers to deliver our core services. Our volunteers are local people who have great knowledge and understanding of their community. They are passionate about helping people. Click to download our Volunteer Pack June 22

The work we do is often challenging, it makes an important difference to the lives of many every day. We provide you the right training for the role you are interested in within a very supportive environment. Our goal is to make your experience as a volunteer as rewarding and fulfilling as possible.

There is a wide range of volunteer roles available, you can be matched to suit your individual interests and skills. With the exception of Community Support Workers, most roles require only on-the-job training. Our volunteers provide: reception duties, support to clients in crisis, comprehensive information and referral, completion of forms, Tax Help, Fresh Food program, No Interest Loan Scheme, general maintenance and gardening at the centre, administrative and data entry, statistical information collection, practical action, advocacy and negotiation, governance and management and so much more!
